QUÉBEC CITY — Hilton Québec announced on March 2 that Simon Renaud has been appointed executive chef.
QUÉBEC CITY — Hilton Québec announced on March 2 that Simon Renaud has been appointed executive chef. Renaud will be responsible for overseeing the hotel’s banqueting services as well as its two restaurant operations, Allegro and Resto Le23.
In his role, Renaud will also be responsible for the development of new menus at Allegro Restaurant and Resto Le23.
A hospitality industry culinary veteran with more than 20 years experience, Renaud has worked at several major hotels in the Québec City and Montréal area.
Since 2008, he has worked closely with such Canadian culinary organizations as the Canadian Culinary Federation (Québec Chapter), the SCCPQ (Société des chefs, cuisiniers et pâtissiers du Québec) and Slowfood Canada. His creative talents have also provided him with opportunities to participate in several prestigious events such as the 2013 NFL Super Bowl gastronomic gala in New Orleans.
“With all of his talent and innovative creativity, we are confident that Simon will take Hilton Québec’s food and beverage services to a whole new level,” said Gina Cuglietta, director of sales and marketing, Hilton Québec, in a release.
