In a significant move to bolster sustainability within the hospitality industry, Green Key Global has partnered with Choice Hotels Canada.
This collaboration extends preferential access to Green Key Global’s esteemed sustainability certification program to Canadian properties.
The program’s certification process evaluates hotels based on four critical pillars: sustainable management, environmental impacts, cultural impacts and socioeconomic impacts. Green Key Global’s certification process is designed to lend credibility to hotels’ corporate social responsibility efforts, providing a comprehensive framework for properties to enhance their sustainability practices. Certified hotels gain access to valuable tools and personalized resources to manage and reduce their environmental footprints effectively.
Aligned with all 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Green Key Global programming ensures that participating hotels are acknowledged for their dedication to sustainable tourism and environmental conservation.
“I am thrilled to witness the extension of our sustainability certification program to Choice Hotels Canada. This partnership is a testament to our shared commitment to environmental stewardship and social responsibility,” says Anick Levesque, managing director, Green Key Global. ”Together, we are setting a new standard for sustainable practices in the hospitality industry, ensuring that our collective actions contribute positively to the world we all share.”
