The Parkside Hotel & Spa has launched a new wellness experience described as the first of its kind offered by a hotel in Victoria. The 60-minute guided session, called Drift | A Floating Sound Meditation, combines water-based relaxation with sound therapy.
Set in the hotel’s indoor pool, participants float on mats in warm water while immersed in a curated soundscape created by certified sound practitioner Pilar Munoz. Instruments used include crystal alchemy bowls and gongs, which are intended to encourage relaxation and mental clarity.
The hotel says the sessions are designed to offer guests a sensory experience that promotes stress relief through a blend of hydrotherapy and sound healing. Attendance is limited to allow for a quieter, more personalized setting.
The eight-week series begins July 17 and will take place every Tuesday morning and Thursday evening through early September. Each session is priced at $60 per person, and advance registration is required.
The Parkside Hotel & Spa is located in downtown Victoria and is part of Beyond Green, a global portfolio of sustainably focused accommodations. The property features all-suite accommodations, a full-service spa, pool, fitness centre and rooftop patio. It was the first Canadian hotel to join the Beyond Green network.
