Gekko Group, a subsidiary of Accor Group and a prominent player in the European travel technology sector, has announced the appointment of Adam McKnight as its director of international growth. This newly created position marks a strategic move by Gekko to expand its operations into global markets, including Asia-Pacific, the United States, and South America.
McKnight brings over 15 years of experience in the business-to-business travel sector, with a professional history that includes key roles at TBO/Bookabed, Hotelbeds, and A2B Transfers/Resorthoppa. His expertise in online distribution, API connectivity, and technological partnerships positions him as a pivotal figure in Gekko’s global ambitions.
Reporting directly to Fabrice Perdoncini, CEO of Gekko Group, McKnight will reportedly be responsible for developing and implementing market penetration strategies.
“Our ambition is to double Gekko’s turnover within the next three years by pursuing new strategic partnerships and tapping into new markets,” says Perdoncini. “Adam’s expertise and international vision will be essential in bringing this ambitious strategy to life.”
To support its expansion, Gekko Group reports that it is making significant investments in artificial intelligence, new websites, and advanced API connectivity solutions.
