AC Hotels by Marriott Ottawa Downtown has announced the appointment of Christine Paxton as the director of people resources, effective December 4, 2024.
With over 16 years of experience in human resources, Paxton brings a wealth of expertise gained across the retail, hospitality, and manufacturing sectors. According to AC Hotels by Marriott Ottawa Downtown, throughout her career, Paxton has demonstrated strong leadership in driving operational efficiency, fostering employee development, and implementing innovative workforce management strategies. Her proven track record is expected to be an invaluable asset as the hotel prepares for its opening.
In her new role, Paxton will oversee recruitment and employee experience initiatives. Leadership at AC Hotels by Marriott Ottawa Downtown anticipates that her expertise will play a critical role in fostering a strong and engaged team.
Before this, Paxton worked in roles with Laurysen Kitchens Ltd, Sheraton Ottawa Hotel, The Home Depot Canada, and People’s Jewellers.
