Alt Hotel Ottawa Airport to open by end of 2025, says OBJ
Construction of the new Alt Hotel at Ottawa International Airport is on track to finish by the end of 2025, according to a spokesperson quoted in the Ottawa Business Journal (OBJ).
The hotel, developed by Group Germain Hotels, will be directly connected to the airport terminal and will have seven storeys and 180 rooms. The project was initially estimated at $55 million in 2023.
A company spokesperson told OBJ that the project is in its “final phase” and that an official opening date will be announced once confirmed.
The new property will be Group Germain’s third in the Ottawa market (alongside Alt Hotel on Slater Street and Le Germain at Arts Court). It will also become the chain’s third airport‐adjacent hotel, joining its Alt properties at Toronto Pearson and Halifax Stanfield airports.
As part of its design, the Ottawa hotel will include a direct indoor skywalk to the terminal.
OBJ also reported that hotel bookings for the property are now open, with operations expected to begin in 2026.
