Congratulations to all the winners.” says Marc Staniloff, president & CEO, Superior Lodging Corp. Personally, it is a true honour to be recognized with a Ron Rivett lifetime achievement award along with the rest of the Super 8 FAC. To be honored alongside so many of our Canadian properties that continue setting such a high standard makes it even more special”.

Additionally, there are several other upcoming initiatives talked about at the conference, including:

  • INNOV8TE 2.0 – The evolved guest room design that plays a crucial role in its updated eight year roadmap. Incorporating new, cost-effective options for bedding, casegoods and more (while sunsetting older elements like bed toppings to keep the interior design fresh and modern), INNOV8TE 2.0 aims to help hotels in need of renovating remain compliant with brand standards and provide guests the quality stay they expect from Super 8.

  • Super 8’s Fresh Curb Appeal – The exterior design is getting a significant boost with the brand’s new channel-letter exterior signage. It has also created “The American Road Original” and “The Authentic Road Original” signage for U.S. and Canadian hotels to update their exterior with. The brand is also extending the special “Super 8 Pays for Paint” promotion to help eligible hotels in the U.S. and Canada complete exterior paint work (which will become a brand standard in 2026)—and also paying for new photos of hotels once paint work is complete.
  • Recent Marketing Initiatives – Launched last year to celebrate Super 8’s milestone 50th anniversary and spotlight its hotels as the ultimate destination for Road Warriors to rest up, recharge, and get back on the open road. These efforts paved the way to the brand’s upcoming “We Travel Better” marketing campaign—featuring stories from travellers about the “unspoken rules that make road trips unforgettable.”
  • “The Legacy of Super 8” – A new book that documents Super 8’s impact over the past 50+ years through personal stories from Super 8 hotel operators. A copy of this book will be mailed to U.S. and Canadian hotels in the coming months.
