Pankaj Mehta has been named general manager (pre-opening) of Moxy Ottawa Downtown | Centre-Ville, drawing on more than 15 years of leadership across Canada, the United States, the Middle East, Africa and Japan.
From December 2021 to July 2025, he served as regional director, performance, at Tasico Hospitality, overseeing Radisson Cincinnati (220 rooms), Best Western Plus Ottawa (84 rooms), Days Inn Ottawa West (131 rooms) and Days Inn Ottawa Downtown (74 rooms).
In Canada, Mehta has also held general manager positions at Homewood Suites by Hilton London, Ont. (2021) and Hilton Garden Inn Edmonton International Airport (2019 – 2020).
His international career includes pre-opening and operations leadership with Hilton in Okinawa, Japan (cluster director of operations), N’Djamena, Chad (operations manager), and the Dead Sea, Jordan (food and beverage manager). He also supported a brand conversion in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and earlier worked in Doha, Qatar, as assistant food and beverage services manager and acting F&B manager.
Mehta began his career in finance and human resources with Hilton in Dubai, where he introduced an electronic CAPEX approval system for the Middle East and Africa. He also contributed to the refurbishment project at Conrad Cairo, which secured phase-one approval for US$70 million.
