Designed by Proscenium Architecture + Interiors and IBI Group (now part of Arcadis), the development will incorporate the preserved façade of the former Canada Hotel, a 1940s-era building noted for its Art Moderne architecture. The project also includes ground-floor retail and a rooftop food and beverage venue with views of the Inner Harbour.

The hotel will operate under the Hyatt Centric brand, targeting experience-driven travellers seeking stays in culturally vibrant urban areas. It will be the first Hyatt Centric property on Vancouver Island.

We’re proud to bring this idea to life with our development and design partners, and thank everyone who helped make this milestone possible,” says the company.
