Hotel Equities has appointed Tim Ostrem as its new regional director of operations, Canada.
Ostrem’s previous role was general manager at Residence Inn Calgary Downtown/Beltline District — where he worked for nearly four years. Before that, he held roles at Atlific Hotels, MasterBUILT Hotels, The Algonquin Resort, Cambridge Suites Hotel Toronto, SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts and Starwood Hotels and Resorts.
When Ostrem served as an area general manager, he delivered exceptional results at North America’s largest Residence Inn and mentored a team of general managers to achieve similar success. With 30 years of experience in managed, franchised, and independent properties, Ostrem is renowned for his innovative leadership and expertise in both limited and full-service operations. He will be pivotal in expanding and enhancing the performance of its diverse portfolio of hotels, including renowned brands like Marriott, Hilton, and IHG, from coast to coast.
