Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler, B.C. has partnered with The Macallan to present an experience called The Library by The Macallan.
Inspired by the refined ambiance of a classical library, the space is an intimate sanctuary—With an open fireplace, elegant cocktail seating, a bespoke bar, and a collection of The Macallan's finest.
The carefully crafted menu features five cocktails and two zero-proof mocktails, all inspired by the distinctive candied ginger, dark fruit, and winter spice character inherent to The Macallan. These flavours are harmoniously paired with elements from the Whistler flora, such as pine needle tincture and local honey, resulting in a symphony of tastes that will excite both connoisseurs and novices alike.
Among the highlights are the Old Fashioned De La Frontera, capturing the essence of The Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Years Old, and Cloud Atlas, a delightful tribute to the same expression. Between Pages and Spicy Letters pay homage to the Double Cask 12 Years Old, while El Dorado has been masterfully crafted around The Macallan M, offering a balance between sweet and spice for the discerning palate. For those seeking a non-alcoholic option, Steamed Bookmark and Notes on Ice provide hot and cold adaptations of a zero-proof mocktail, respectively.
Complementing the exceptional cocktails is an assortment of bar snacks, expertly paired to enhance the delicate notes behind each drink, creating an mmersive experience for every guest.
The Library boasts a collection of more than 12 different bottlings of The Macallan, making it the largest collection in Whistler, B.C.—and will be open daily from 4:00 to 10:00 pm (last seating), from December 15, 2023 to March 31, 2024.
