Susie Grynol resigns from HAC, appointed VP at Marriott International
The Hotel Association of Canada (HAC) has announced the resignation of Susie Grynol from her position as president and CEO, effective June 3rd, 2024

MONTREAL — W Montréal Hotel announced on Jan. 12 the appointment of Christina Poon as general manager. Bringing with her more than 15 years of hospitality expertise, Poon will focus on elevating guest satisfaction and managing operations tied to the programming of W Hotels.
“I am so excited for the opportunity to lead the dynamic team of talent at W Montréal,” said Poon in a release.
Poon joins W Montréal after having held various senior leadership roles throughout the city of Montreal. Her most recent post was CEO of Evo Residences, where she oversaw the operations of two high-end student housing properties. Prior to that, she held the position of general manager of the Hilton Montreal Bonaventure Hotel, and held management positions with Delta Hotels across the city.
Since 2014, Poon served as vice-president on the board of directors for Destination Centre-Ville, an organization dedicated to developing, improving and promoting downtown Montreal activities. In 2015, she was named an Honorary Patron at Fondation de la mode de Montréal.
