A Mics of the Round Table series will bring together rappers, songwriters, authors, journalists, and other artists to explore their impact on society, the messages they are sending and the audiences they are reaching. The intersection of these different art forms will lead to powerful, thoughtful discussions about creative processes and the larger cultural narratives each guest is shaping. Just as the original Algonquin Round Table was a hub for literary voices that shaped their time and were part of New York City’s social fabric, this new series will aim to carry that torch forward with modern-day poets and lyricists.

This salon will feature author and renowned pop artist Ashley Longshore, brand and business innovator Cindy Gallop, and author Carrie Courogen. The panel will be moderated by Literati Spirits Founder/CEO, entertainment entrepreneur Brisa Carleton. With a lineup of all female panelists, The Algonquin continues in the tradition of elevating female literary voices which all began with the hotel’s original muse, Dorothy Parker.
The Round Table’s return is also part of Autograph Collection Hotels’ first-ever Mark Week celebration which invites both travelers and locals alike to see, hear, and experience Autograph Collection properties’ stories through "The Mark”—a signature moment within the guest experience designed to attract attention and spark conversation. Every Autograph Collection Hotel has a distinctive Mark, inspired by the hotel's unique brand and brought to life through a space, person, or object within the hotel.
Created to spark conversation and inspired by the properties' unique heritage, locale, and identity, The Mark presents a fun and engaging opportunity for hotels to connect with guests in a new way. In continuation with Mark Week, Cat Greenleaf will kick off her Round Table residency with interviews with Hillary Sheinbaum, Stefanie Wilder-Taylor, Stacy London and Tracy Bonham all filming on September 24th.
