HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. — STR data for Nov. 8-14, 2020 showed slightly lower occupancy from the previous week for Canada’s hotel industry.
Data for Nov. 8-14, 2020 (percentage change from comparable week in 2019):
Occupancy: 27.8 per cent (-53.5 per cent)
Average daily rate (ADR): C$110.36 (-25.9 per cent)
Revenue per available room (RevPAR): C$30.70 (-65.5 per cent)
Occupancy for previous weeks came in at 29.4 per cent (Nov. 7), 29.2 per (31 Oct. 31), and 31.1 per cent (Oct. 24), respectively.
For the week ending Nov. 14, Nova Scotia recorded the highest occupancy level (35.0 per cent) among the provinces.
Among the major markets, Vancouver (29.0 per cent) saw the highest occupancy level for the week.
The lowest occupancy among provinces was reported in Quebec (17.7 per cent). At the market level, the lowest occupancy was reported in Montreal (14.8 per cent).
