Truman and Marriott to bring three high‑profile hotel brands to Calgary

TORONTO — Orie Berlasso has left Big Picture Conferences, where she produced more than 60 C-level conferences in her 12+ years with the company. Stephanie Gadbois is the company's new managing director.
Bringing over 15 years of experience in strategic planning, sales, trade show and event management, Gadbois will oversee all conferences and events hosted by the company which is dedicated to the production of annual conferences and networking events for the Canadian hospitality industry.
“I am delighted to join the Big Picture Conferences team and to contribute to the impactful work they conduct, connecting hospitality professionals via events,” said Gadbois.
“I am thrilled to step in at a juncture where the company is looking to expand their presence into trade shows and beyond, and am energized by the opportunity to be at the forefront of these endeavors. This growth is my long-term goal as managing director.” she continued.
Gadbois has occupied numerous managerial roles throughout her career, overseeing a range of hospitality-related responsibilities. She began her career as program manager for Pareto Corporation which led her to various roles ranging from event manager, to Eastern Canada district manager and show manager for companies including the Allied Beauty Association to her most recent role as Show Manager for the Canadian Gift Association.
She will be joining Hannah Pattison (senior event manager), Maggie Wong (coordinator) and Jody Larose (head of sponsorship and partnerships).
