Smart Serve Ontario is a responsible alcohol beverage sales and service training program which is recognized by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). Smart Serve Ontario is dedicated to developing and delivering training to all individuals who sell, serve, or handle alcohol in the province of Ontario.
THE MANDATE
The Governance and Nominating Committee of Smart Serve Ontario seeks to fill board vacancies. Smart Serve typically elects Directors representative of the key industry sectors to which they provide service, or that fulfill a specific functional requirement or area of expertise on the Board. The Board also seeks diversity and encourages applications from a broad range of eligible candidates who live and work in the province of Ontario.
Suitable candidates will be an experienced business leader with preference given to those with:
— Board experience — Tourism sector background with strong experience having been responsible for a liquor license. — Leadership Experience
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
The Smart Serve Ontario Board is responsible for stewardship, including oversight of the organization and taking a leadership role in the development of the strategic direction.
The Board is a volunteer role and approved expenses will be covered to attend board events. We are looking for visionary leaders from across Ontario who desire to be part of a progressive, results oriented and fiscally responsible Board of Directors.
