Senior director, tourism and leisure group at CBRE Canada
Fran Hohol, senior director of tourism and leisure group at CBRE Canada, is set to retire.
Fran Hohol has worked at CBRE Canada for over seven years. Before that, she held roles with companies including PKF Consulting Inc., Economic Developers Council of Ontario, Travel and Tourism Research Association (Canada Chapter) and others. In a social media post, Hohol made the following statement:
“Heading into the next stage of life…………
Here’s a picture of me leaving the house this morning and going into Toronto for my last “official” day in the office.
It’s important to me to thank some people as I head into retirement. First and foremost, I want to thank my husband, Barry and children, Meghan and Blair for always supporting me and not complaining when I was consumed with work. Thank you for your love and support.
I want to thank the founding partners of PKF, David Larone, Brian Stanford, and Beth Walters for hiring me in February 1985 — when I was a fresh M.A. graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University. Thank you for believing in me and mentoring me over the years — and for becoming life-long friends.
I want to thank the many colleagues that I have enjoyed working with over the past 37+ years — it has also been a team effort. Many of you have gone onto to become industry leaders in the tourism and hospitality sector.
I want to especially thank Rebecca Godfrey and Hildegard Snelgrove who worked alongside me growing CBRE’s Tourism & Leisure practice. Thank you for your support and lifelong friendships — you both challenged me to go forward boldly and take on new and interesting clients and projects.
And thank you to the many clients that I have worked with over the past 4 decades for trusting me and CBRE’s Team with your assignments and affording me the opportunity to see the many memorable tourism landscapes that this country offers and meet many passionate folks along the way.
I am grateful to go into this next stage of my life knowing that the legacy of CBRE’s Tourism & Leisure practice is in good hands, with Rebecca Godfrey and Hildegard Snelgrove at the reins.”
