MISSISSAUGA, ONT. — Following the promotion of Kevin Pelissier to the position of national corporate chef at RATIONAL Canada, Xavier Lacaze has assumed the role of regional sales manager for Alberta, effective Sept. 6.
Lacaze’s new role entails responsibilities such as dealer relations, RATIONAL cooking live events, customer visits, regional trade shows and all other related duties.
Lacaze brings 20-plus years of culinary experience, starting in his hometown of Toulouse, France. From there he moved on to Michelin-starred restaurant Les Puis St Jacques and followed that up with stints in some of Europe’s finest restaurants in Switzerland, French Riviera and the Alps. For his North American debut he traveled to Los Angeles and also worked in the French Caribbean.
Lacaze has spent the past seven years working in some of Calgary’s top restaurants. In addition, he appeared on Top Chef Canada, season two and most recently was the concept chef and face of Briggs Kitchen and Bar.
