Over 60 of the Hotel Industry’s top leaders from across Canada attended 2020 VIP Leadership Dinner on Feb. 24, 2020. Returning to Ruth’s Chris at the Toronto Airport, the evening was again a favorite social gathering for the industry. The annual event was organized and hosted by Jason Cheskes, President of Above the Line Solutions, a company involved in many areas of hospitality procurement.
Top level executives from all segments of leadership including brands, management groups, associations and key transaction support companies all were well represented. Companies represented included such brands as Marriott, Wyndham, Realstar, Urgo, Travelodge, Hilton, Best Western, Red Lion, Sandman, and Choice. Also strongly represented at the dinner were ownership, development and management companies including Atlific, Superior, Sunray, InnVest, LHM, Pacific Reach, Listel, Sterling, Aimbridge and Holloway; finance and real estate companies such as CWB, CFO Capital, and Colliers; and association leadership from BCHA, and AHLA.
Cheskes stated that “while the event was at fully capacity, I hope to be able to have additional people be able to join us to enjoy the event in the future”.
Sponsors for the 7th annual Canadian Leadership Dinner included LG Electronics, Ecolab, Shaw Communications, Serta Simmons, Eden Textiles, RHB Enterprises, Foodbuy, and Quad Distribution.
Steve Gilbert of Choice Hotels commented, “Jason and the sponsors host a great event. This was my first time attending and it was tremendous to be part such a great industry group get together for such an enjoyable evening.”
