Located just minutes from Tobermory, the development will repurpose a former golf course into a destination emphasizing nature, design and experiential travel.

Part of Arbor Escapes collection

The project will be part of Arbor Escapes, Opal’s lifestyle-led collection of stays designed to balance comfort and character with natural settings. According to the company, the Bruce Peninsula resort will provide guests with scenic surroundings, outdoor experiences and spaces that combine relaxation with inspiration.

“ArborNorth is about creating escapes that feel both intentional and deeply rooted in place,” Opal Hospitality states in its announcement.

Collaboration with Archer Experience

The development is being carried out in partnership with Archer Experience, a firm specializing in destination and experience design. Opal said the collaboration reflects a shared vision of creating spaces that connect travellers to nature and memorable moments.

Expanding lifestyle portfolio

The ArborNorth project marks another step in Opal Hospitality’s expansion of its lifestyle portfolio. The company emphasized that the Bruce Peninsula resort is the beginning of a broader growth strategy centred on experiences “that feel fresh, intentional, and deeply rooted in place.”

No timeline for the opening has yet been announced.
