The Ontario Restaurant Hotel & Motel Association (ORHMA) and OHI - We Are Hospitality (Ontario Hostelry Institute) have announced the launch of complimentary 2025 student memberships for high school, college, and university students across the province.
The initiative is designed to support aspiring hospitality professionals by providing them with industry insights, valuable resources, and career development opportunities in one of Ontario’s most dynamic sectors.
This program aims to reflect a strong commitment to cultivating the next generation of hospitality leaders. Students who join will gain access to exclusive benefits, such as weekly industry updates, tools, and trends, as well as participation in virtual meet-and-greets with established professionals. Membership also includes access to key industry events and the opportunity to display the OHI student membership logo, marking their association with the broader hospitality community.
“We believe it’s time to move beyond discussions and start making a tangible impact,” says Fatima Finnegan, vice president of workforce initiatives & industry relations at ORHMA. “This initiative is about taking real, concrete steps to support students and invest in their futures. We are excited to provide them with the resources and opportunities they need to build successful careers in the hospitality industry.”
The program aims to bridge classroom learning with practical, real-world experience through a range of resources, virtual events, and networking opportunities. These tools are designed to help students establish meaningful connections and explore diverse career paths within the hospitality field.
This initiative builds on the longstanding collaboration between ORHMA and OHI to promote excellence and innovation in Ontario’s hospitality sector. As hospitality remains a cornerstone of the provincial economy, these memberships represent a vital step in preparing students for success in this ever-evolving industry.
Eligible students currently enrolled in high school, college, or university programs are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and register for their complimentary 2025 membership.
ORHMA represents Ontario’s hospitality sector, advocating for and supporting the interests of restaurants, hotels, and motels across the province. ORHMA provides its members with resources, expertise, and advocacy on key industry issues.
