InnVest Hotels has partnered with Food Banks Canada as a selected charitable partner for 2024. In a time when food insecurity is affecting countless individuals and families across the country, InnVest Hotels will be making a significant donation to support this vital cause on “Giving Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024.”
“It could not be a more crucial time to support this cause, as evidenced by some impactful insights recently shared by Food Banks Canada. With 1 in 3 food bank users being children and over 2 million Canadians visiting food banks in March 2024—a staggering 90% increase from same time pre-pandemic levels—it is our responsibility to step up and make a difference in the communities we serve,” says Lydia Chen, president and CEO of InnVest Hotels.
The Corporate Impact Committee at InnVest Hotels selected Food Banks Canada as a partner for 2024 recognizing the urgent need to address food insecurity across the nation. This partnership aligns with InnVest’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and community engagement.
To raise awareness and support for this initiative, InnVest Hotels will host local activities from November 19-29th. These activities will include:
As part of the Food Banks Canada campaign, InnVest Hotels will donate a portion of proceeds from all guest room sales on Giving Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024.
“Together, we can work to ensure that no child goes hungry and that families have access to the nutritious food they need,” Chen adds. We encourage our guests, partners, and the broader community to join us by donating, volunteering, and spreading the word about food insecurity in our communities on Giving Tuesday and beyond.
