Manga Hotels has acquired the SoHo 54 Hotel in New York City, N.Y.
Located at the intersection of SoHo, Hudson Square and Tribeca, the SoHo 54 Hotel is a boutique hotel with 160 guest rooms and suites—minutes from the West Village, Greenwich Village and Little Italy.
The 19-storey property offers a setback entrance with a drive-through porte-cochere. There is a 3,000-square-foot restaurant space, with lobby level bar and lounge, and a 625-square-foot outdoor rooftop terrace with views of lower Manhattan. Manga Hotels has converted the property to a TOOR Hotel—making it the first U.S. property under the TOOR Hotel Collection.
Design-forward, connected, and memorable, New York’s first TOOR Hotel will feature destination dining, an elevated fitness centre, outdoor terrace with soaring city views, and meeting and event spaces.
“Manga Hotels has had a presence in the U.S. since 2001, but this marks the first foray into New York City with our fourth property in the state of New York,” says Sukhdev Toor, president and CEO of Manga Hotels, “We are thrilled to bring the TOOR Hotel Collection to this cosmopolitan city, offering a distinctive and inspired experience for the modern traveler.”
The TOOR Hotel Collection offers properties that capture the unique personality of the cities they inhabit. The TOOR Hotel Collection is proudly Canadian and represents the values its citizens are known for globally—hospitality and approachability.
Manga’s combined portfolio consists of 33 hotels with over 6,000 rooms and an additional 1,250 rooms in the pipeline primarily located in downtown Toronto as well as seven high-rise residential rental developments comprising over 4,000 units and an additional 2,200 low-rise houses in the pipeline for the Greater Toronto Area.
