Kothari Group has officially launched construction on a new dual-branded Hyatt hotel near McMaster University, marking the start of a project that will add 162 guest rooms to the local hotel inventory.
The hotel, which will feature both Hyatt Place and Hyatt House brands under one roof, was unveiled during a recent Bhoomi Puja ceremony—a traditional Indian ritual performed to inaugurate construction.
Kothari Group says the development will cater to both business and leisure travellers, with a focus on comfort, convenience, and modern amenities. In a public statement, the company described the hotel as a new benchmark in the region’s hospitality offerings, promising a stay that “feels both elevated and effortless.”
The project is being developed in partnership with Sigma Group of Companies.
Additional details about the hotel’s design, opening timeline, and service offerings are expected to be announced as development progresses.
