The 419-room property is located adjacent to Arlington National Cemetery and The Pentagon, and within minutes of Washington’s National Mall and Reagan National Airport.

David Reisman, chief operating officer and executive vice-president of development at Knightstone Capital Management Inc., called the acquisition a milestone for the Toronto-based company.

“Big news from Knightstone Hotel Group Inc. We recently completed our first U.S. hotel acquisition, the Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel in Arlington, VA,” Reisman writes. “This 419-room property marks an exciting milestone as we expand into the U.S. hospitality market. Perfectly positioned next to Arlington National Cemetery and The Pentagon, and just minutes from the National Mall and Reagan National Airport, it is a fantastic first asset to launch our journey stateside.”

The company says a significant renovation plan is already in progress and will be focused on reimagining the guest experience and repositioning the hotel as a revitalized landmark in the region.

Reisman notes the importance of the work ahead. “With a significant renovation plan already in the works, we are thrilled about what lies ahead and proud to start with such a landmark property. Thank you to everyone who helped get this over the line. Now the real work begins,” he said.

Knightstone describes the acquisition as the beginning of its U.S. growth strategy and said it looks forward to sharing updates as the renovation moves forward.
