Israel Canada Hotels is expanding its footprint in Jerusalem.
The chain, owned by Barak Rosen, Assi Tuchmeyer and Reuven Alex, signed a management and lease agreement with the Levi family, owners of the “Shalom Jerusalem” hotel, for a period of 20 years, beginning with the end of the war.
The hotel that will be relaunched under the branding of Israel-Canada is located in the Ein Karem neighbourhood, a popular tourist attraction in Jerusalem, and about a 10-minute drive from the city centre. The hotel has 288 rooms that will be renovated over the next two years at a cost of approximately 20 million ILS, including the construction of 4 luxurious suites, in addition to the existing guest rooms.
“One of the main goals of the chain is to integrate a hotel in the city of Jerusalem. Now the Israel Canada network is deployed in all the tourist sites in Israel. The hotel has tremendous potential and I am sure that after the renovation and the addition of the suites, it will host new audiences in addition to the existing ones and it will be one of the leading hotels in Jerusalem. This is the third hotel that we have added to the chain during the last year, during which we increased our number of rooms by about 500 rooms,” says Reuven Alex, partner and CEO of the Israel-Canada chain of hotels.
