avid hotels– part of IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), is celebrating its 60th open property with the debut of the new avid hotel Atlanta – Conyers I-20.
The hotel marks the sixth avid hotels property in Georgia. With 11 new openings in 2022, and an additional 145* in the pipeline across the Americas region – including 16 under construction, avid hotels is on pace to nearly quadruple in size in the coming years, proving its popularity within the midscale segment.
“It’s incredible to be celebrating this milestone for the brand. This is a testament that our ‘just right’ approach – to deliver the basics done exceptionally well at a fair price – is resonating with both owners and guests. We’ve been focused on growing the avid brand and our footprint in North America. We recently opened our first-ever property in Canada, have expanded our presence in Mexico with three open hotels, and are now welcoming guests in 24 states across the U.S. – all with the same core proposition of a great night’s sleep in a hotel that is modern, clean, comfortable, and dependable no matter where or when you stay,” says Karen Gilbride, vice president of avid hotels
Along with avid hotel Atlanta – Conyers I-20, other recently opened hotels include avid hotels – Fort Wayne North, avid hotel Toronto – Vaughan Southwest and avid hotel Odessa Northwest. At this time, avid hotels remain focused on the continued growth of the brand in the Americas region, with properties currently open in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico and new-to-market hotels opening in Tuscaloosa, Austin and Tulsa, later this year.
