Banff's hospitality landscape has been evolving with the introduction of three distinctive hotels, each offering unique experiences for visitors to the Rockies, as reported by avenuecalgary.com and the Alberta Hotel and Lodging Association.
The Kenrick Hotel
The Kenrick Hotel
Set to open in April 2025, The Kenrick Hotel is a transformed version of the former High Country Inn, now offering a luxurious and modern experience from the lobby to the guest rooms. The hotel provides personalized amenities upon request, including white noise machines, a pillow menu, and board game rentals. Guests can unwind at The Nora Pool, which features a sauna and steam room, a saltwater pool, and a cold plunge area.
These new accommodations enhance Banff's appeal, providing visitors with diverse options that blend comfort, style, and unique experiences in the heart of the Canadian Rockies.
Moxy Banff
Opened in spring 2024, Moxy Banff, a Marriott Bonvoy property, stands on the former site of The Voyager Inn. The hotel showcases a retro design featuring bold patterns and mid-century modern furnishings reminiscent of the 1970s. Guests can enjoy a bar with a vintage ski-resort ambiance and lobby dining options served from a refurbished 1966 Volkswagen food truck. Additional amenities include multiple social lounges, a fitness centre, and two hot tubs in a heated courtyard.
Otter Hotel
Launched in November 2024 by Banff Lodging Company, the Otter Hotel provides a serene environment with mountain vistas while remaining close to Banff's vibrant downtown. The in-house restaurant, Good Folk, offers Rocky Mountain-inspired dishes such as Alberta prime rib beef tenderloin and local rainbow trout. Guests benefit from in-room coffee kits, heated underground parking, and complimentary Roam Banff bus passes.
