As the hotel plans its May 2023 reopening, Le Crystal has appointed Eric Hamel as general manager.
Hamel is also a teacher at Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec; and he sits on various boards and holds roles at L’Arche Canada Foundation, Association des hôtels du Grand Montréal, and Maison de soins palliatifs Source Bleue.
Before that, Hamel worked at Sageblan Investments, Vogue Hotel Montréal, Association Hôtellerie Québec (AHQ), Loews Hôtel Vogue, W Montréal Hotel, Le Centre Sheraton Hotel, Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec (ITHQ), and InterContinental Montréal.
