Fairfield by Marriott Calgary Downtown has completed a full renovation of its property, updating guest rooms and public spaces with a refreshed, contemporary design aimed at improving guest comfort and satisfaction.
The renovation project, which began in late 2024, included a complete overhaul of all guest rooms, as well as significant upgrades to the lobby and breakfast area. The hotel announced the completion of the renovations in April 2025.
General manager Tiffany Richards oversaw the project, with the work carried out by Ryan Murphy Construction. The final stages of the renovation focused on revitalizing the lobby and breakfast room, key communal areas that set the tone for the guest experience.
The Calgary Hotel Association acknowledged the property's investment and praised the team’s efforts. “The refreshed spaces look fantastic, and it’s great to see your continued commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience,” the association states in a public post.
Located at 239 12th Avenue SW in Calgary’s Beltline district, Fairfield by Marriott Calgary Downtown offers amenities such as complimentary breakfast, free Wi-Fi, a 24-hour fitness centre, and pet-friendly accommodations.
The timing of the renovation coincides with the expansion of the nearby BMO Centre, positioning the hotel to better serve both business and leisure travellers in a growing downtown corridor.
