Elie Sassine has joined W Toronto as general manager. He most recently comes from St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, Toronto. Before that, Sassine held senior roles at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Marriott International, Rotana Hotel Management Corporation, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.
A statement from W Toronto reads: “We are thrilled to welcome Elie Sassine as the General Manager of W Toronto! Elie brings over 25 years of luxury hospitality experience to his role with an impressive background. He joined Marriott International in 2006 in Doha, Qatar as Food & Beverage Manager. There, he held a variety of leadership roles in Operations, and Sales and Marketing, after which he oversaw two Ritz-Carlton hotels as the Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing.
“Elie then moved to Toronto in 2014, where he joined The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto leading the hotel to commercial success with record-breaking revenues. Thereafter in 2023, he was promoted to Hotel Manager at the St. Regis Toronto, where he was instrumental in driving GuestVoice and Associate engagement.”
