Products from Standard Textile, the U.S.
linen supplier, would cost the Canadian properties an additional 18 per cent on
duties, and the Room Ready portion (laundering prior to delivery) would need to
be done in the USA, which would mean that a double duty would be charged.
“Eden has also proven to be a long standing,
reliable source for our Canadian Hotels with exceptional quality and service,”
said Ron Pohl EVP and COO for Best Western.
The products selected are Indulgence for
sheeting, which is a T22060⁄40 combed cotton polyester blend. Best Western has
selected a 15-inch pocket on fitted sheets and the products are preshrunk and wrinkle
resistant. Opulence was selected for pillow cases. For properties who wish to
offer a higher grade product, it is a T30070⁄30 combed cotton polyester blend,
with a sateen weave with hemmed edge. The unique blend of cotton and polyester
will last 20 per cent longer, and dry more quickly saving time and money.
Products will be available in Q22018 with
properties required to meet a deadline installation of Dec 2019.
