
Educational hotel/luxury resort to be built in the Canadian Rockies
PAR999 Holdings Inc. will build a luxury resort in Hinton, Alta. which will also serve as a hospitality education centre, and is planning to break ground in 2023.
Coast Hotels Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of APA Hotel Canada, Inc. has appointed David Ferguson as director, development.
In his new role, Ferguson will focus on growing Coast Hotels’ portfolio of franchised and managed hotels in North America specifically targeting Canada to support the company’s growth strategy.
Ferguson has an extensive hotel management, consulting and valuation background working for several hospitality companies. Most recently, he served as director and practice co-lead for CBRE Hotels Valuation and Advisory Services (VAS) group in Canada, where he completed feasibility studies and valuations for accommodation and tourism-related real estate in Canada and abroad. Before this, he worked at PKF Consulting Inc., Metropolitan Hotels, Delta Hotels & Resorts, and Pannell Kerr Forster/PKF.
