The Chelsea Hotel, Toronto has announced the appointment of James Cushinan as director of food & beverage.
Cushinan is a graduate of Loyalist College’s Hospitality Management-Hotel & Restaurant program and is also certified with several mixology and sommelier programs. In 2013, he was a recipient of the ‘Top 30 Under 30 Award’ through the Ontario Hostelry Institute.
Cushinan served as food & beverage services manager from 2012 to 2015 at The Chelsea Hotel. He then worked at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, was GM of Restaurants at the Marriott Teaneck Hotel in New Jersey and most recently, he was the GM at Cluny Bistro & Boulangerie in the Distillery District.
