2025 BCHA Awards of Excellence winners announced

The British Columbia Hotel Association (BCHA) has announced the winners of the 2025 BCHA Awards of Excellence.

Recognized by peers and industry leaders during the BCHA Awards of Excellence Gala on April 23 at the Westin Bayshore, Vancouver. Among 20 esteemed finalists, seven individuals, businesses, and properties were honoured for their dedication to excellence and leadership in the industry.

The full list of 2025 BCHA Awards of Excellence winners is as follows:

  • Accommodation of the Year: Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler, Whistler, sponsored by Encore Canada
  • Housekeeping Excellence: The Cove Lakeside Resort, West Kelowna, sponsored by Ecolab
  • Hotelier of the Year: Kimberley Hughes, Delta Hotels Victoria Ocean Pointe, Victoria, sponsored by Western Community College
  • Sustainability Champion: Sandman Hotel Group, Vancouver, sponsored by veritree
  • Leader of the Future: Eddie Salehi, Delta Hotels by Marriott Kamloops, Kamloops, sponsored by Fortis BC
  • Community Contribution Award: Lisa Jaager, Summerland Waterfront Resort & Spa, sponsored by BC Hospitality Foundation
  • Culinary Excellence: Mitch Shafer, Delta Hotels by Marriott Kamloops, Kamloops, sponsored by Helijet
