The BC Hotel Association has announced its partnership with two international organizations– Biosphere Tourism and the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance.
The collaboration will develop resources and tools that support the tourism industry, and measure and monitor environmental impact.
Biosphere Tourism has a sustainability-related certification program that hotels and other accommodations can achieve in order to market themselves to attract sustainability-conscious customers. The BCHA also announced that it has obtained the Biosphere Tourism certification.
