From its origins in 1906 as a Samuel Maclure-designed family residence to its restoration and revival as a boutique hotel, Rosemead House has lived many lives, each chapter adding depth to its enduring legacy.
"Tucked within the historic heart of Esquimalt, BC, Rosemead House is a 28-room boutique hotel reimagined within a 1906 Tudor Revivalist manor. A beloved landmark, it has evolved from stately family home to storied inn—now thoughtfully restored as a refined escape steeped in tradition. Guests are invited to unwind in design-rich rooms, stroll through immaculate English gardens, and indulge in immersive, memory-making experiences at Janevca Kitchen & Lounge, where nostalgic charm meets modern hospitality. From intimate getaways to grand celebrations, Rosemead House is where time slows and moments linger,” says BC Hotel Association team.
The property also has an in-house restaurant, Janevca with diverse cuisines, a fitness centre, outdoor gardens, and its spa—SALT&IVY, which will be opening this fall 2025.
