Artifact Group has announced the completion of its joint venture acquisition: the DoubleTree by Hilton Downtown Montreal. This marks another milestone in the firm's commitment to “acquiring hotels offering inspired experiences in landmark locations.”
Colliers Hotels and Eastdil Secured LLC announced the sale on behalf of Pandox AB. Located in the heart of Downtown Montreal's Entertainment District, the DoubleTree by Hilton Montreal offers a prime location directly across from Place-des-Arts within the Complexe Desjardins.
In addition to the 595 spacious guestrooms and 45,600 square feet of expansive event space, the recently refurbished DoubleTree offers an array of amenities. These include two food and beverage outlets, a BIVOUAC fine dining restaurant, an indoor pool, a rejuvenating spa, and a well-equipped fitness center. With direct access to the Montreal underground city, the hotel is integrated into the city's year-round events for the Grand Prix, Jazz Festival, and many more, ensuring unparalleled convenience for guests.
"The DoubleTree by Hilton Montreal is a strategic acquisition for Artifact Group," said Gaurav Gupta, president of Artifact Group. "This hotel will bring our portfolio to 1600 rooms in the province of Quebec and will further allow us to provide the highest level of service and experience to our guests across all segments. The property is located in an area I like to call the heart of the city; a hub for activities and festivals. We are dedicated to preserving the hotel's sense of place while enhancing its offerings to add value to this investment."
This move marks Artifact Group's second partnership with the Hilton brand, following the acquisition and rebranding of the Vogue Hotel Montreal Downtown, Curio Collection by Hilton, in 2020. Leveraging its successful track record of ventures in Canada and the U.S., such as Hyatt Place Montreal Downtown, Hotel MOCO Valleyfield, and the landmark Delta Hotels Quebec by Marriott; each property under Artifact Group's ownership and management exemplifies a commitment to excellence.
"On behalf of the Artifact Group, led by Gaurav Gupta, and KingSett Capital, CFO Capital is proud to have arranged the acquisition financing of the 595-key DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel located in the Complexe Desjardins in the heart of Downtown Montreal’s Entertainment District. The recently renovated property is complemented by its impressive food and beverage programming and substantial facility offerings with 46,000 SF of event space, one of the largest offerings in the market inclusive of an expansive patio overlooking the Quartier des Spectacles," says Mark Kay, president, CFO Capital.
