Activar Hôtels, developer, investor and operator of hotel projects, hosted Stéphane Lauzon, member of parliament for Argenteuil–La Petite-Nation and parliamentary secretary to the minister of citizens’ services, to officiate the opening of the brand-new Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham, Lachute—with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that took place on Monday, October 16, 2023.
It’s in part thanks to a $1M loan from Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED) that the project was realized. Since its opening this past July, the hotel has reportedly welcomed more than 5,290 clients and more than 20 events.
To solidify ties to the community and to showcase local colours, Activar Hôtels invited participation from the local community of artists: two artists were awarded prize money and a two-night stay in one of the Microtels managed by Activar Hôtels. Their paintings will be installed on the walls of the hotel’s first floor to offer clients a unique view of Lachute. The selected pieces are:
Amazon’s Orchestra, 31 inches x 47 inches, mixed media on canvas by Benjamin Lachapelle
Reflets et perceptions, 40 inches x 40 inches, acrylic on canvas by Sophie Stella Boivin
The Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham, Lachute is built following the new MODA concept developed by the Microtel brand. This design creates financial advantages for developers and shareholders as well as ensures an architectural product that integrates efficiency, functionality, and comfort.
The Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham, Lachute is the fifth hotel in Activar Hôtels’ portfolio of managed properties, after the recent acquisition of Le Grand Lodge Mont-Tremblant.
